Why Dream Studios? We get that question a lot. Well, it is pretty simple actually. We started dreaming about this little venture when we were little kids. We grew up, got jobs, had families, enjoyed life and the whole time, this little dream kept creeping in. One day in 2012, we decided that it was time to turn the Dream into a reality.
My first Bass was a Gibson Grabber that I bought from a garage sale for $40 back in 82' or so. I can't remember exactly when, I think I was 12. The Bass reminded me of the one that Gene Simmons played, except mine was a natural wood color. So this was my first attempt at modifying an instrument. I took the whole thing apart and sanded it down and painted it black. From there I was hooked. I modified my P-Bass, I changed pick-ups on my Mockingbird, and I can sadly say I have destroyed more than one classic Strat trying to build an Eddie Van Halen replica. I was always trying to get the guitars and basses to look, play and sound the way I wanted them to.
Fast forward a decade or two, and most of the guitars and basses I found were either really expensive, or really cheap. And the really expensive ones, you are almost afraid to play, and the really cheap ones, well, you know how that goes. So a couple of friends mentioned to me that they wished that someone would put the care and workmanship that we were putting into our other business, and another friend said, do it. So with that encouragement, we did; we did it. We founded Dream Studios.
This has been a dream for almost 30 years, and now, the Dream is finally reality.
This has been a dream for 30 years, and now, it is reality. Will we make it as a guitar company? I hope so. Will we guarantee you that we will build the best guitars and basses we can? Absolutely! Read on through the specs on all of the guitars. Take a look at the craftsmanship that goes into them. Know the world class parts suppliers and manufacturers we are working with and the artists we are getting feedback from. You see, we didn't start this journey to make money, we are living our dream of building the guitars and basses that we wanted to play, the ones are artists want to play, and hopefully they will be the guitars and basses you want to play.
You only live once, so you better enjoy the ride. Live your dreams.
